Peerless is level 1 of 4 in the Barbados Hall of Fame: changed the field itself. Tell the country's story without them and the story breaks. See how the levels work.
Why they are here
A batsman, bowler and fielder of genius from Bay Land, St Michael, regarded by many as the finest cricketer who ever lived.
Sobers scored 365 not out against Pakistan in 1958, a Test record that stood for 36 years, and in 1968 became the first player to hit six sixes in an over in first-class cricket. He could bowl fast, orthodox spin and wrist spin, and captained the West Indies. He was knighted in 1975 and named a National Hero of Barbados.
